Analysis
When I open LinkedIn Tango #656, I scan the 6×6 grid for locked suns and moons first, then hunt = and × pairs. This board has 9 givens and 6 signs — 1 equal links and 5 opposite links — before I touch an empty cell.
My first pass is always sign pairs near givens. × pairs dominate this board — opposite signs force alternating symbols and quickly eliminate one option per linked cell. I count suns and moons per row and column as I go — when a line needs exactly one more sun (or moon) and only one empty cell remains, that cell is forced.
I fill R1C1 → Moon (row balance forces the last symbol); R1C2 → Moon (row balance forces the last symbol); R5C6 → Moon (column balance closes the line) in my first few minutes — those cells unlock the most sign chains.
