Kingshot Strongest Governor Guide

Seven-day stage priorities — what to save, when to spend, and how far F2P should push.

Strongest Governor is Kingshot's monthly seven-day progression sprint — the successor to Hall of Governors, now with cross-kingdom leaderboards and a wider reward pool. Each day scores a different activity type, so the winners are usually the players who matched saved inventory to the right stage, not whoever spent the hardest on Day 1.

Quick takeaway: Plan for milestones first, rank second. Open your in-game scoring table before any big spend — point values can differ by server. If KvK prep is close, claim easy rewards and keep contested items (Taming Marks, Master Academy mats) in reserve.

Event basics

How Strongest Governor works

Seven stages, four rotating themes, multiple reward tracks.

Duration

7 days

One stage theme per day — City Construction, Hero Development, Basic Skill Up, Combat Training.

Cadence

~Monthly

Typically follows Alliance Brawl in the post-KvK calendar cycle.

Competition

Cross-kingdom

Daily stage ranks in your kingdom plus kingdom and cross-kingdom totals.

F2P sweet spot

Milestones

Daily point chests and Challenge Medals — rank pushes need saved high-value items.

Pair this guide with our Free Resources guide for speedup stacking and Gem Spending guide for when Hero Roulette pulls belong in the event window.

Rewards

Which reward layers matter

Not every leaderboard deserves the same effort.

LayerWho it targetsPractical approach
Daily milestonesSafest value for most accountsHit realistic tiers — stop when cost per point spikes
Challenge MedalsUp to 2 per day from tasksSeparate reward track — do not ignore dailies
Stage ranking (daily)Top ~1,000 in kingdomWorth a push only when you are already near a bracket
Kingdom total rankingTop ~1,000 over 7 daysConsistency beats one huge day if you skip others
Cross-kingdom rankingTop ~2,000 across serversUsually spender territory — know the tier before spending

Before Day 1

What to save

Targeted hoarding beats freezing your whole account.

ItemWhy save it
Advanced Taming MarksDay 3 spike — also contested during KvK prep
Hero Roulette 10-pullsDays 2 and 7 — pairs with gem-spending saves
Mythic / Epic / Rare shardsPlanned ascensions only — not random upgrades
Mithril, Widgets, ForgehammersDays 2, 4, 5, 6 if you have access
Truegold + Tempered TruegoldDay 1 and Power Boost — upgrades you already planned
Governor Gear / Charm materialsConstruction and late combat days
Master Emblems + ManuscriptsHero Development — weigh against KvK needs
Construction / research / training speedupsMatch to the active stage, not Day 1 only
Pre-event setup: Queue long builds and research to finish during Construction days. Fill training queues before Combat Training stages. Pause casual hero, pet, gear, and charm upgrades 1–2 weeks out if a milestone push is worth it. Decide upfront: milestones only, kingdom rank, or cross-kingdom — then budget items to that goal.

Schedule

Day 1 through Day 7

Stage themes repeat with variations — always confirm your live event tab.

DayStageHigh-value actionsF2P approach
Day 1City ConstructionTruegold, Tempered Truegold, charms, construction/research speedupsFinish queued upgrades — do not dump your whole speedup bank
Day 2Hero DevelopmentRoulette spins, hero shards, Widgets, Forgehammers, Mithril, Master Academy matsFirst big inventory day — spend what you saved for hero/gear progress
Day 3Basic Skill UpAdvanced Taming Marks, pet advancement, shards, charmsOften the cleanest F2P milestone day — pet marks score huge per use
Day 4Combat TrainingTroop training, Mithril, Widgets, Forgehammers, charmsComplete pre-queued troop batches — training alone rarely moves rank
Day 5Power BoostBroad mix: gear mats, Truegold items, speedupsCheckpoint day — spend leftovers or stop if next tier is too expensive
Day 6Combat TrainingTroops + Governor Gear progressFinish queues from Day 4 — gear spikes if you saved Governor Gear mats
Day 7Hero DevelopmentShards, pets, Truegold, Governor Gear, speedups, light gatheringFinal surge — spend with a number in mind, not emotion

Point values

Reference values — your in-game table wins if numbers differ.

Action / itemPoints (typical)Best stage
Mithril40,000Hero Development / Combat / Power Boost days
Tempered Truegold30,000Construction and Power Boost stages
Advanced Taming Mark15,000Basic Skill Up — compare vs KvK prep before spending all
Hero Roulette spin8,000Hero Development days — stack with gem-spending roulette saves
Widget (exclusive gear)8,000Hero Development / Combat Training
Master Emblem6,000Hero Development / Basic Skill Up (when unlocked)
Hero Gear Forgehammer4,000Gear-heavy stages

Troop training scales by tier (T11 ≈ 49 pts each down to T1 ≈ 1). Without Mithril or gear mats, treat Combat Training days as volume days — finish batches you already queued rather than buying progression just for points.

By account

How hard to push

F2P

Hit daily milestones and both Challenge Medals. Day 3 (pet marks) and prepared Day 1 finishes are usually the best gem-equivalent returns. Skip rank chasing unless you are already within one tier of a meaningful bracket.

Low / mid spender

Pick 2–3 stages where saved Mithril, Widgets, shards, and marks can actually move kingdom rank. Do not spread inventory evenly — concentrate on Hero Development and Basic Skill Up spikes.

Competitive / whale

Plan the full week before Day 1. Cross-kingdom placement depends on saved high-tier mats and timing on Days 2, 3, and 7 — late rank pushes get exponentially expensive.

Day 5 checkpoint

Ask three questions: Is the next milestone still efficient? Are remaining mats more valuable for KvK? Would a small push actually change your reward tier? If any answer is no, stop spending and play normally.

Principles

Rules that survive balance patches

  • Match spend to stage. A Mithril on the wrong day is just a Mithril — on the right day it is 40,000 points.
  • High-value items first, speedups last. One Advanced Taming Mark beats hours of filler speedup usage on most accounts.
  • Train troops you need. Points expire; a badly skewed roster does not.
  • KvK overlap is real. Taming Marks, Master Academy materials, and teleports may score here or matter more in prep — choose deliberately.
  • Trust your event UI. Screenshots from other kingdoms are reference only.

Avoid these

Common mistakes

MistakeWhy it hurts
Burning all speedups on Day 1Leaves nothing for Power Boost, training days, or Day 7 cleanup
Roulette spins outside Hero Development days8,000 points per spin only scores on the right stage — see gem-spending guide for when to pull anyway
Spending Advanced Taming Marks without a planSame items matter for KvK prep — pick one event, not both blindly
Upgrading random pets/heroes for pointsMilestones are temporary; bad permanent builds are not
Chasing cross-kingdom rank lateMoving from rank 500 → 400 can cost more than the reward tier pays back
Assuming another kingdom's point tableOpen your live event screen — values can differ by server age and balance patches
Freezing the account for a monthTargeted saves beat hoarding everything and falling behind on normal progression

Checklist

Week-of routine

  1. 1

    Open today's scoring table

Confirm which actions count before spending saved items.

  2. 2

    Claim both Challenge Medals

Free reward track — two per day from event tasks.

  3. 3

    Spend high-value items on-theme

Marks on Skill Up days, shards on Hero days, queued troops on Training days.

  4. 4

    Stop at milestone efficiency cliff

When the next chest needs disproportionate spend, bank for next month or KvK.

  5. 5

Day 7: spend with a target number

One tier away = maybe push. Ten tiers away = save leftovers.

  3. 3Day 3 pet marks — often best F2P spike
  4. 4Do not empty speedups on Day 1
  5. 5Check live point table — do not copy other servers blindly
