Alliance Championship is Kingshot's structured alliance-vs-alliance tournament: six alliances in the same bracket, five rounds, and placements that feed alliance tokens, materials, tech progress, and personal loot. Wins come from lane planning, registration discipline, and communication between rounds — not last-second hero swaps.

Event basics
How Alliance Championship works
Weekly schedule from Monday 00:00 UTC through the following Monday.
Bracket
6 alliances
Five battle rounds in a round-robin pool. Win each matchup by taking 2 of 3 lanes.
Lanes
3 × 20 fighters
60 registrations per alliance max. Each march can defeat at most 2 enemy units per round.
Eligibility
TC 10 + 10 members
Town Center 10 to join. Alliance needs at least 10 registered members for matchmaking.
Combat
Fully automated
Simulated PvP — expedition skills are active. Your registration snapshot does all the work.
| Phase | What happens |
|---|---|
| Registration (Mon 00:00 – Wed 23:00 UTC) | Register into one of three lanes (20 per lane, 60 total). Stat snapshot locks at registration — buff before you confirm. |
| Matchmaking (Wed 23:00 – Thu 00:00 UTC) | Game groups your alliance with five others of similar tier. No action required. |
| Prep window (11h before each round) | R4/R5 review enemy lane intel and reassign members. Round 1 is always blind. |
| Battle rounds (Thu–Sat, 1h each) | Five automated lane fights. Battle phase ends Saturday 12:00 UTC. |
| Completion (Sat 12:00 – Mon 00:00 UTC) | Final placement (1st–6th) pays alliance and personal rewards. |
Formations
Best troop ratio — 50/20/30
Infantry bulk keeps fights stable, cavalry adds pressure, archers close lanes.
| Setup | Infantry | Cavalry | Archers | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard (priority lanes) | 50% | 20% | 30% | Default — infantry bulk, cavalry pressure, archer damage |
| Aggressive | 40% | 20% | 40% | Higher burst when you clearly outpower the opponent |
| Defensive (sacrifice lane) | 60% | 15% | 25% | More stall for tiebreaker kill totals |
| Cavalry-skew counter | ~60% | Cavalry-heavy | — | Niche counter vs balanced 50/20/30 — only with scouting approval |
50/20/30 is a strong default, not a permanent law. Older Gen 1–2 advice used 5/4/1-style stacks, and matchup-dependent swings toward 5/2/3 or 6/2/2 appear when shot-callers counter-scout. Coordinate one alliance-wide default first, then deviate only with scouting data.
Lanes
The 2-1 lane split
Two power lanes built to win, one sacrifice lane that chips kills for tiebreakers.
Snake draft for power lanes
Rank members by combat power, then snake assignments between Lane 1 and Lane 2 until each holds roughly 20 of your top 40. Place remaining players in Lane 3. With fewer than 60 signups, fill the two priority lanes first, then sacrifice.
Lane 1 — primary
Top half of your top-40 power list. Win the lane outright. Formation: 50/20/30 or offensive split if leadership assigns it.

Amadeus
hostStrong main-lane expedition lead

Helga
Solid carry option across generations
Also strong: Petra, Triton (late-gen)
Lane 2 — secondary
Other half of top-40. Must be built to win — losing both priority lanes loses the round regardless of sacrifice. Formation: 50/20/30 unless counter-building.

Zoe
Reliable F2P-friendly core

Quinn
Strong secondary lane option
Also strong: Petra, Jabel, Helga
Lane 3 — sacrifice
Lowest-power registrants who accept an expected lane loss. Chip kills for tiebreakers. Formation: 60/15/25 stall-heavy. Minimize premium consumables.

Howard
Damage reduction for survivability
Also: Zoe, Eric — fight hard, don't go AFK
Preparation
Buff snapshot before registration
Power and buff state freeze for the entire tournament when you register.
- 1
Activate pet / combat pet skills
Toggle march-stat buffs before registration or your final march update.
- 2
Apply kingdom / alliance appointments
Marshal-style march buffs — Marshal generally beats Field Commander for this mode.
- 3
Stack temporary buff items
ATK%, troop count%, lethality — only if this is a full-buff week worth the spend.
- 4
Equip best expedition gear on your hero trio
Use your three strongest heroes — leadership moves you between lanes, not heroes.
- 5
Set 150-troop formation to alliance-approved ratio
50/20/30 on priority lanes. Confirm lane assignment with R4/R5 before locking.
Rounds
Round-by-round strategy
Five rounds across the six-alliance pool. Placement rewards accumulated round wins.
Round 1 (blind)
Execute your agreed 2-1 placement. Treat the outcome partly as scouting — you will see enemy lane distributions after this round resolves.
Rounds 2–5
Adjust lane stacks using visible enemy data. Exploit weak lanes, shore up fragile ones. Main levers after snapshot lock: lane swaps, formation exceptions, scouting.
Classic counter triangle (Rounds 2+)
- 1Your weakest lane → vs their strongest lane
- 2Your strongest lane → vs their second strongest
- 3Your second strongest → vs their weakest lane
At higher tiers, enemies shuffle lanes too — keep your setup unpredictable and build fallback assumptions when scouting is ambiguous.
Heroes
Hero selection
Register your march once with your three best heroes — leadership assigns lanes.
Generally use your three best heroes. These battles are simulated PvP, so raw power and expedition skills matter. You do not change heroes based on assigned lane.
F2P cores: Zoe, Jabel, and Quinn are reliable. Prioritize heroes you have actually built instead of chasing paper meta picks.

Zoe
F2P-friendly expedition core

Quinn
Reliable secondary pick
Rewards
Individual, alliance & per-round payouts
Strong individual performance pays even when your alliance loses the bracket.
Individual rewards
Scale with damage and KOs relative to other fighters in your alliance. KO = a defeated enemy march. Each registered march scores up to two enemy defeats per round before stopping.
Alliance season tiers
Bracket placement (1st–6th) and league tier (Stone → Diamond) determine alliance mail rewards. Championship Badges feed the Championship shop.
Shop
Championship shop priorities
Best buy is usually the current hero shard if you're building that hero, then long-term bottlenecks.
Hero shard slot by server age
| Server age | Hero shard | Price | Weekly limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Days 1–196 | Gordon Shard | 500 badges | 25/week |
| Days 197–280 | Marlin Shard | 2,000 badges | 10/week |
| Days 281–364 | Eric Shard | 2,000 badges | 10/week |
| Days 365–448 | Margot Shard | 2,000 badges | 10/week |
| Day 449+ | Vivian Shard | 2,000 badges | 10/week |
Permanent progression
| Unlock | Item | Price | Weekly limit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Always | Gilded Threads | 100 badges | 100/week |
| Always | Satin | 1 badge | 10,000/week |
| Server Day 55+ | Growth Manual | 150 badges | 30/week |
| Server Day 113+ | General Master Emblem | 1,500 badges | 15/week |
| Server Day 113+ | Master's Manuscript | 15 badges | 1,000/week |
| Server Day 176+ | Artisan's Vision | 500 badges | 5/week |
Gilded Threads and server-age progression items are safer buys than dumping badges into generic resources. Skill books and speedups are situational — buy when a specific hero skill or upgrade is blocked.
By play style
F2P, low spender & whale priorities
F2P
Lock a lane role early. Default to 60/15/25 on sacrifice. Target top-10 individual when coordination is clean. Save limited buff items for weeks worth the spend.
Low spender
Buy ATK/lethality bundles your roster converts. Feed shards into main-march heroes. Snap buffs once before registration. Target top-5 individual.
Whale
Request priority lane placement. Max combat research before the event. Mythic/red gear on registered march only. Coordinate swaps — carrying one lane isn't enough.
Avoid these
Mistakes that cost rounds
| Mistake | Why it hurts |
|---|---|
| Splitting power evenly (1-1-1) | 2-1 lane planning wins more brackets than three medium lanes |
| Signing up without knowing your lane role | Priority vs sacrifice assignments must be clear before registration |
| Re-registering without buffs active | You permanently lose the stronger stat snapshot for that week |
| Spending premium consumables on Round 1 only | Decide before registration whether this is a full-buff week |
| Ignoring sacrifice-lane kill totals | Total kills break ties when neither side wins two lanes clearly |
| Solo lane hopping without leadership approval | Breaks 2-1 math and confuses shot-callers |
Cheat sheet
Quick reference
- 1Win 2 of 3 lanes — total kills break ties
- 2Default 50/20/30 on priority lanes; 60/15/25 sacrifice
- 3Snake-draft top ~40 across Lane 1 and Lane 2
- 4Buff snapshot once — then register deliberately
- 52-cap per march is why two lanes beat one mega-lane
- 6Share post-round screenshots fast — 11h prep window is fixed
