Kingshot Bear Trap Advanced Guide

Damage buffs and multipliers to stack after formations, heroes, and rally timing are locked in.

This guide assumes you already know Bear Trap fundamentals — formations, heroes, and alliance rally timing. If you have not read the basics yet, start there first.

Prerequisites

Quick recap — basics you need first

Maximum damage buffs only matter once execution is already clean. Lock these in before chasing marginal gains.

  1. 1Pitfall Level 5 (+25% alliance Attack) before trap day
  2. 2Gen 4+ formation ~1% Infantry / 10% Cavalry / 89% Archers — verify with march preview
  3. 3Hosts assigned; joiners use Chenko, Yeonwoo, Amane, Amadeus, or Hilde lead + 2 heroes — or troops only
  4. 4Preset formations saved; staggered waves and conveyor-belt relaunches during the window
Buffs stack on top of good formations and coordination — they do not fix wrong troop splits, bad joiners, or idle troops in city. Nail execution first, then layer these damage multipliers.

Damage multipliers

Buffs for maximum Bear Trap damage

Some buffs you toggle before each trap; island structures are permanent progression you build toward over time.

  1. 1

City Bonus — Lethality & Attack

Activate one Lethality buff and one Attack buff from your city bonus menu before rallying. Use the highest tier you have — Up 2 lasts 12 hours; Up 1 covers the full ~30-minute trap window at +10%.

  2. 2

Pet skill — Moose Horror Stare

Enable Horror Stare from your Moose pet skills before the event. It reduces enemy squad health by 3% for 2 hours — turn it on close to trap open so it covers your full rally window.

  3. 3

    Island structure upgrades

Island building buffs are permanent — not a pre-trap toggle. Work toward max level over time; each level adds attack that applies every Bear Trap automatically.

City Bonus options

Turn on one buff from each row below before your first rally. Bear Trap runs about 30 minutes — Up 1 on each stat is long enough, but Up 2 gives double the boost if you have it.

Squad's Lethality

BuffEffectDuration
Troops Damage Up 1+10% troops lethality2 hours
Troops Damage Up 2+20% troops lethality12 hours

Squad's Attack

BuffEffectDuration
Troops Attack Up 1+10% troops attack2 hours
Troops Attack Up 2+20% troops attack12 hours

Pet skill — Moose Horror Stare

Enable Horror Stare from your Moose pet skills before the trap opens. Unlike city bonuses, this is a separate pet toggle — easy to forget.

Moose Horror Stare

−3% enemy squad health

Horror Stare debuffs the bear's squad health by 3% for 2 hours. Enable it before your first rally so the full trap window is covered.

Timing

2-hour window

Horror Stare lasts 2 hours — enough for a full Bear Trap session. Easy damage to leave on the table if you forget to activate it.

Island buildings worth maxing

These are long-term investments — not something you rush the hour before trap day. If you want higher Bear Trap damage, work toward Level 5 on each structure below. Each level grants +1% permanently (+5% total at Level 5). Court of Knowledge boosts all squad attack; Observation Deck and Ranger Cabin both boost Archer attack — especially valuable for Gen 4+ splits.

StructureStatPer levelMax (L5)
Court of KnowledgeSquad Attack+1% per level+5% at Level 5
Observation DeckArcher Attack+1% per level+5% at Level 5
Ranger CabinArcher Attack+1% per level+5% at Level 5
Pre-trap checklist: City Lethality + Attack buff (Up 2 if you have it, otherwise Up 1) → Moose Horror Stare enabled (3% enemy health debuff, 2h) → rally. Island structures are always on once upgraded — keep leveling them when you can.

Cheat sheet

Advanced damage stack

  1. Read and execute the basic guide (formations, heroes, timing)
  2. City Bonus: Troops Damage Up + Troops Attack Up (Up 2 preferred, Up 1 is enough for the trap window)
  3. Moose pet: Horror Stare enabled (−3% enemy squad health for 2h)
  4. Island structures (permanent): max Court of Knowledge (+5% Squad Attack), Observation Deck (+5% Archer Attack), and Ranger Cabin (+5% Archer Attack) when you can
  5. Open or join rallies immediately — buffs only help if troops are hitting the bear
